Shihan Tom Hogue
Born February 4, 1971
1987 Tom began studying at Cambell's school of Tae Kwon Do in Dillsburg PA
1989 Trained at Shin's Tae Kwon Do in Hermitage, TN
1991 Enrolled at Bob's Iron Fist Society in Manchester, PA changing styles to Isshinryu
1991-1994 Trained as a full contact kick-boxer achieving a record of 6-1 while continuing his martial arts journey to black belt
January 24, 1994 Tom successfully tested for Sho-Dan, black belt
1994 Tom founded another location for Bob's Iron Fist Society, in Dillsburg, PA.
1995-1999 The Dojo was renamed to Hogue's Black Belt Society.
During his tenure as sensei, Tom rose to the rank of Yon-dan (4th degree black belt)
1997 Sensei Hogue trained and gained his Tae-Kwon-Do black belt from the Harrisburg Martial Arts Academy, allowing him to finish what he had started as a 16-year-old boy in 1987.
2000-2015 Tom endured ACL knee surgeries and continued training when possible.
2007-2015 Tom received private training from Shihan Robert Shortlidge, and rose to the rank of Shichi Dan (7th degree black belt).
2013 to 2016 Master Hogue provided personal training to a few select students in his home dojo in Lewisberry, PA, while also reentering the competition scene.
April 4th, 2016 Master Tom Hogue founded Elite Martial Arts in New Cumberland, PA
Tom has competed in numerous tournaments across the country winning over 130 competitions and many Grand Champion awards for kumite, weapons, and open hand katas.
It is his personal belief that competition, challenging our comfort zones, and conquering personal goals, is the most important part of personal development.
For this reason, he strives to be an example and inspiration to those around him.
